Creating Coopera: A Hub to Foster Entrepreneurship Inside and Outside the Company
Technology and digital transformation are driving disruptions in businesses, leading companies to rethink their work processes and how they engage with their customers. These changes create new demands within organizations, eager to support innovative projects that require backing for development.
Coopera is now part of our ecosystem of companies, which covers various business verticals (RUA Auxilios, ServiciosYa, and Mashkady, among others). Coopera’s purpose is to facilitate the connection between supply and demand with a strong focus on innovation.
While financial support is not part of the services, thanks to our extensive client portfolio and partnerships with various organizations in the business and education sectors, Coopera Innovation Hub provides entrepreneurs with the opportunity to connect with a vast network of corporate clients.
One of the strengths of this initiative for startups is becoming part of an ecosystem centered around a leading company with over 10 years in the market.
Moreover, each project entering Coopera receives guidance, mentorship, and support. It offers benefits such as training, technical assistance, legal and notary advice, within a spacious and modern coworking space in the center of Montevideo.
Shortly after starting its activities, the hub is already supporting three projects: Casaigual, Entrenando, and Floor, which aim to innovate with solutions in the e-commerce, health, and housing sectors, respectively.
New Talent Investing in innovation has been part of Grupo RUA’s DNA since its inception. With more than 1 million services provided today, we aim to deliver solutions that align with the digital transformation our clients are undergoing.
This allows us to expand our core business by diversifying products and approaching other lines of business.
In this context, the opportunity arises to create synergy between the corporate world and entrepreneurs and startups driving innovative ideas.
Coopera is open to receiving all projects with this profile. Initiatives can come from various industries such as fintech, focusing on technological solutions for the financial sector, insurtech, aiming to innovate in the insurance industry, healthtech, seeking to diversify solutions for the healthcare sector, security, focused on finding tools for security companies, agrotech, incorporating the latest technologies into rural activities, and renewable energy, among others.
With the creation of Coopera, we aim to attract new talents, high-performance profiles that will help us continue innovating, initially within the group and then by bringing innovation to the market or to the ecosystem of friendly companies or clients. We understand that there are exponential technologies that can transform certain sectors through solutions or products.
We are convinced that through this synergy, linking and coordinating different actors such as clients, entrepreneurs, investors, and other types of organizations, we can enhance and accelerate the productive and economic development of those involved in the value chain.
Innovating as Part of Our DNA Grupo RUA promotes an open innovation process in which its employees feel involved. The Open Innovation department works on internal mechanisms to encourage ideas to materialize, moving from thought to action. “We encourage everyone from their respective positions to question the tasks they are performing and propose alternatives or improvement ideas. This is how we maintain a constant innovation process,” says Diego Sayanes, our CEO.
